Rugby Try-outs!

The boys had Rugby Try-outs this week.  It was basically just 2 days of getting together with the couches to see who all was going to play and to see who has played before and who is new.  Then on the 3rd day they split them up into teams.  The fun part though was to see coach Jay Day, get them ready for 40 yard dash sprints.  On the first day he split everyone into two big groups and David was in one group and Ben was in the other.  Then he did them Alphabetically so my boys went first in each group. It was fun to watch.  Ben went first.  Our dear friend Jonah Tuttle was giving him some pointers before he ran.
There were about 30 kids in each group.  Here is David starting off his group.
This is the group that is on his team.  Kind of.  We found out that we have our friend Selleck too. He has been on Ben's basketball and football team's that Joel has coached.  So that will be great and River Brooking is our neighbor but we haven't seen him at practice so we don't know if he is going to play or not yet.  We hope so. It's going to be an exciting year.  Ben has really been practicing kicking this year.  I hope it pays off.  If nothing else, I really want the two of them to bond through rugby.  I want Ben and David to finally come together and be friends again through this.  If nothing else happens and they don't win the entire thing like Ben did last year, I highly doubt it, I just want Ben and David to come together.
