FLOATS! 1st load to VEGAS!

So, the first 3 floats were taken down to Summerlin Nevada.  Kyle took the Gingerbread house down on Friday afternoon and then he and JoEllen took the Hooville float Saturday and Brad and Joel followed them with the Present Float.  It was CRAZY!
We could not get the Hooville float to fit on the trailer so we borrowed Ira McArthur's trailer that had a support around it and lifted it up onto it and then just strapped it down!
Here is the holding cell in Nevada for the floats.  I hope all 6 of them fit!

These were the mark ups for the floats.  We came pretty close.
The next three are the Snowman Float, the Ice Queen Float and lastly SANTA!  We won't even get Santa until next week so we need to finish up the other 2 really quick so we can throw ourselves into the Santa float and have them all ready to go on the 16th!

HALLOWEEN!

Halloween was a bust for us this year. Joel and I dressed up like Mr and Mrs. Frankenstein but the boys didn't.  After school we took off our costumes because Joel had to work at the college and Ben went to his first Halloween party (we were thrilled because he is so antisocial.  Thank you Beckers!). So, David got dressed up and I took him over to JoEllen's to go Trick or Treating with Evan and I went out to Brad's to do some painting.   It was a pretty lame Halloween but things needed to get done.  I am falling behind on my Fortnite dream because I can't be online after school to stream but that's OK.  There's a time and place for everything under heaven. Maybe it won't ever happen.  Maybe it will just be another place for the teenagers of the world to have a place to talk to me about their problems.  I don't know.  I'd love to make some money off of it and get Joel home more often.  We've been trying to do that for decades.  I was just hoping that this was actually the way it would happen.  oh well.  Here are our few picture's of Halloween.
Here is Joel helping the 9th grade football team with their Math. What's funny is that he teaches 8th grade Math, but everyday he stays after school to help at least 3 9th graders because the 9th grade Math teachers are horrible and all of Ben's friends need help.
Evan went as a Clown and rode Kyle's unicycle.  He's getting pretty good.  Josh would be proud.  David went as the same hippie as last year.  I'm telling you, we are fading out of this kid era.  Even with kids!   If there would have been a good movie out we all would have gone to it instead.

No More Cast!

Ben got his cast off on Monday October 29th!  He now needs to do some Physical Therapy to get it back to where it needs to be.  His range of motion is limited which makes it so that basketball season is also out this year.  But, hopefully he will be ready for RUGBY!
His arm was kind of curved and you could feel the lump of new bone.  It was weird, because the muscle was so depleted.
Ben didn't want to keep the cast.  It was pretty rank smelling!
All new bone! That big chunk is now held on tight.  Nick also said that his growth plate looks good and that Ben shouldn't have any problems. But, that he is not done growing.
 Here are the old ones...
