Disneyland w/o KIDS!!!!!!

Joel had meetings in Anaheim for work and usually he would just fly with the two other people from work that had to go as well but this time he decided to let them fly and rent a car for himself.  Doing this made it possible for me to go with him.  It was awesome!  We got there, checked into the hotel and then called Brad and Ashley.  They had decided to move back to Utah and live in Ashley's parent's house since they still had three years on Mark's contract with his work.  So, first thing in the morning Joel would drop me off at Ashley's and I would help her load up boxes.  We packed up as much as we could all day Thursday and after Joel was done with his meetings he picked up Brad from work and grabbed some food for us all for dinner since we had packed up all the pots and pans.  The next day was pretty much the same except we ate out after so Ashley could get out of the house.  She was all couped up and needed a time out.  Saturday Joel only had meetings until noon and then we checked out of the hotel and went to California Adventure!  That night we slept at BrAshley's and the next morning Brad got us into Disneyland!  So we stayed there until 6pm and drove home.  It was a great weekend!  Thanks so much BrAshley for letting us come.

Here are some pictures of our hotel room.  it was AMAZING!!!   Kitchen, living room, View from the balcony, separate bedroom through double doors w/flat screen TV and nice tiled shower.  I felt bad (for about two seconds) that we could fit our entire family in there with no problems and it was just the two of us.  In fact, this hotel room was bigger than BrAshley's entire apartment square footage wise.  It was AWESOME!  The best part was that I didn't have to pay for it.

Henry was so happy to see Joel.  It was like they were old friends.  It took him a while to warm up to me.
Henry in his car seat on the way to Disneyland.  We had lunch in Carsland and got drinks out of oil cans.

We got there the very first day of the 60th Anniversary.  Everything was Blue and Silver Diamond.  It was really pretty.
They also have a new Mickey and Minnie that have more realistic features like eyes that blink.  It was awesome.
We took a million selfies.  We are calling this our Selfie Disneyland Trip.  Here's us on my favorite ride.
We also went on every ride in the single rider line so we didn't have to wait very long in line.  It worked out great!

Can you see me in the mirror?
My other favorite ride.  I could go on this ride ALL day and he doesn't like it.  Joel finally learned to let go, literally.  The only way to enjoy this ride is with your hands straight up.  He has always tried to pull himself back down instead of defying gravity.  So the second and sadly last time we went, he let go.  Afterwards, I asked him how it was and he said that he actually liked it better that way.  It wasn't as scary.  For this selfie we waited until the sign lit up just right.  Funny thing about selfies, when you want to take one people actually offer to take your picture for you.  We had three different people offer. We also saw more characters than we normally would have and ones that we don't ever see.
The Matterhorn had been upgraded since the last time we were there.  The Yeti inside was much more animated and scary.  It was cool.
Here's our selfie of it.  Once again we aren't together because we went in the single rider line.  Something you can't do very well with little kids.

Disneyland!

 More characters!

Another great thing you can do without kids is sit and watch a show.  In California Adventure we sat and watched Aladdin.  It was amazing.  Today we watched Mickey's magical paint brush.  I hadn't seen either of those shows and they were great.  I would highly recommend them to everyone.  Young and old.
My all time favorite thing to do is sit and listen to the mariachi band.  I haven't been able to do that FOREVER!  It brought back a lot of memories of going to Disneyland with my parents when I was little.  We always stopped and listened to them and danced out in front of them with our dad.  This was so special to me to just sit and reminisce of days gone by.

After that we started texting photos of places to our kids to have them guess where we were in the park.  It was pretty funny to see their answers.

More of the Diamond decorations.  I bought me some of the Diamond Ears to celebrate.  We had a great time.  I can't wait to go again.  Although now that Brad's back in Utah it'll be a while until we can save up the money to take everyone.  Time to find a second job!
