Ben's Elementary Graduation

On the last day of school Ben was recognized by Mr. Ivie for being the leader of the group of boys that was chosen to be in charge of putting up the flag and taking it down everyday.
Mr. Ivie hand picked him and it was the best thing that could have ever happened.  He learned responsibility that he wouldn't have otherwise.  He was a great leader all year long and had the best year in school academically that he's ever had.  I don't remember him complaining once about school which is a miracle because he has always hated school.  We almost didn't get through 2nd grade.

Each boy that helped got a plastic flag but Ben received a nice cloth one that was folded correctly and a Washington Elementary shirt.  He was honored and surprised.  He had no idea.  He was just happy to help out each day.  I am so proud of Ben and for how nice he is to everyone.

Then they sang a couple songs and had a graduation ceremony where they received their certificates.  Of course these two had fun.  Braxton lives down the street from us and has come to church a couple times with us or the Soli's.  He has taken the missionary lessons but his parents say that he needs to wait until he's older.  He's a great kid.

There is a good group of boys this age.  It will be fun to watch them grow up together.
