Last Basketball Game

David and Joel had their last basketball game on Saturday.  Luckily it was after the swim meet so we didn't have to split up like we usually do.  We lost but it was close a close game.  We played against Franklin Seegmiller's team.  They had one really tall kid that kept stealing the ball and one fat redheaded kid that thought we were playing football that kept running us over and just taking the ball right out of our hands.  The refs didn't call anything.  One week they call everything and the next they call nothing.  It's crazy.  David is just like Joel and gets frustrated fast on the court.  So Joel had to take him out a lot this game.  I went over to Coach Eves who was one of the refs that day and is the Coach at PVHS and told him that we'd work on David's attitude and hopefully by the time he reaches High School Basketball it will be gone.  I'm sure that he'll be playing basketball in high school.  He loves every sport but I think he's the best at basketball.  BUT, I may not LET him play if his attitude doesn't get better.  I've got to beat that Beckstrand Basketball out of him. He can keep that Beckstrand skill but that attitude.  Oi Vey!

Last Region Swim. FOREVER!!!!!!

Region was on Friday and Saturday but all Josh swam on Friday was the Medley Relay.

The next day he had the 100 Free, 100 Back and the 200 Free Relay.  Here are some picture's of him getting ready with some of our favorite friends.

 One of his best dives!

Of course he had his coach there by his side the whole time.  She's great!

It was a super close race and Josh got the best time he has ever gotten.  But it was not a qualifying time for state so we will have to wait and see if he will make it to state this year or not.

Next was the 200 free relay and Shayne forgot to text me that they were already started and I got there just after they had finished.  So I just got this picture of them looking at there time seeing that they are not going to qualify for state.  Close by not close enough.
 Finally, Josh's backstroke.
Not to fast of a start.
1:07.55.  Not enough time off for state.  Disheartening.  He has had a tough year.  If anything it has trained him to deal with hardships for his mission.
But always takes it with grace and class.  Always the leader of the group and very humble.
Their relay did take 3rd place in Region however.  So they did get a medal!  I would like to point out Harper's awesome outfit!  Josh got everyone a pair of shorts and a shirt to match for his Sr. gift to them from him with the money we raised from his Ironman Fundraiser over the summer.  He is an incredible person with so much love for others.  I am so proud to be his mom.
Desert Hills took 1st, Canyon View 2nd and us 3rd.
I'm not sure who made the signs for Pine View but they were great.  I didn't see very many signs for any other school.  It was awesome!
