Freshman Football

Well Ben played his first official game last Thursday.  I will have to get details about his position and things.  But he did great.  They won 33 to 7 against Snow Canyon.  So he saw a couple of his Rugby friends.  The coaches are still trying to figure out where he fits in because he's good wherever.  And of course he won't open his mouth and actually say what he wants to do.  So...you get what you get.  But it is his first year and things will only get better.

 Half time!
This is Carter Fausett.  Ben's Rugby friend.  His Dad is a good friend of mine.
STUD!  We will take one of these every year and see how he's changed.  BTW...I repainted those Panther heads.  I changed the Grays and put the Silver back in for this year.  Looks good huh?

1st day of school!

First Day Of School!  David is going into 7th grade at Fossil Ridge Intermediate.
Ben is going to be a Freshman (9th) at Pine View Middle School!
And Joel is right in between them at 8th Grade in the same school as Ben PVMS!!!  They get to ride to school every day together!  I know he doesn't have a backpack to look at.  I just wanted the butt shot. ;)
GOOD LUCK AT SCHOOL BOYS!!!!  I LOVE YOU!!!

Pine View High School Upgrades!

Pine View is getting new upgrade little by little every year.  This year we finally got our marquee!  And some new paint inside the halls!  So then the Panthers at the Football Stadium were looking pretty run down comparatively.  So, Ray Hosner asked me to fix them up.  So I spent the next 2 days painting my last 2 panther heads!!!  The 2 days before school started!  Nothing like cutting it close.  They have their 1st football game this Friday.   I hope it brings them luck.
The heads were really worn out, sun bleached and chipped. What needs to happen is they need to be sand blasted off and then repainted.  I had to scrub them really good first to even get them clean.  I also bought a sealer to help keep them looking nice.  Hopefully.  And I changed to colors completely.
Above is the before and below is the after.  I put a Pewter Gray for the jaw line, ear, eye, and throat to make them stand out more.  Then I changed then forehead and back gray to metallic Silver.  It really shines!  The first outline is also the same silver.  I think it ties in well. And then the Pewter is the 2nd outline.  I have no idea what color  of gray they had as the 2nd outline before.  It was a completely different gray.  Then the black I used was a gloss for a nice shine!  I like it.
The white on the nose had turned more yellow than white.  This was after I had painted half of it white.  You can still see how yellow it was.
These are with the Gray and Silver done. But not the black yet.
There was quite a difference on how sun bleached that black was.
New and improved above!  Below was before.  It definitely needed a boost.
