HOMECOMING!

Homecoming week is always fun.  This one was no exception.  The parade was it's normal goofy self, filled with teenagers trying to look good for the other teenagers, and trying to find their mom's so they can take a picture of them.  Unfortunately, Josh had to work so I couldn't take a picture of my kid.  But I took other ones but can't find my camera that I took them on and Sophie is online and I need to post this so I'll add them later!
Here are the boutineer and corsage that I made for Josh's date.
Here are some picture's of the Homecoming game that we lost to Dixie.  I'm pretty sure that no one is sad about it.  We all wanted them to win for Jonah Lutui!  Jonah is a Freshman who is a friend of Ben and Emily's.  He goes to school with Em but played baseball and Rugby with Ben.  After the JV game against Dixie on Thursday Jonah passed out and had to be rushed to the hospital to have surgery on his head for a severe concussion that caused a brain bleed.  They shaved his head and had to go in to try to stop the bleeding.  On Sunday they found another bleed and had to go back in and do another surgery.  Our temple has been closed for cleaning but opened on Monday.  First thing Monday morning I called and got his and his parents name on the prayer roll.  He is still in ICU and will be for awhile.  He has about 50 staples in his skull.  But he still has his smile.  He has been up and walking around and his dad is positive and thinks that he is on the mend.  The closely watch him with CT scans to make sure there are no new bleeds.  Everyone at the game was praying for him.

They lit up the PV at the half.  And I don't remember who the Homecoming King was but the Queen was the Pryor girl.  Sophie, you will have to get details from Josh.

For the boys Homecoming day date they went to hike Zion.  They said that it was super crowded, but fun!  They had 8 couples.  The more the merrier.  George even came.  It was a great memory for those two cousins to have together their Sr. year.
Then some of them met at our house so I could take a picture before they went to take official pictures.
We had dinner for them up at the Hazy Building at DSU and while we were getting ready it started to SNOW!  It was so COOL!  It was a freak little flurry that came through just for me.  Then Kyle noticed a DOUBLE RAINBOW!!!  It was freakin' amazing.
JoEllen had made this awesome fruit water and decorated the conference room and we made them Hawaiian Haystacks, green salad and a birthday cake and ice cream for dessert.  It was Kyler Scotts's date's birthday that night and Josh's was coming up so we though that would be ok.

They all crammed into the elevator and Josh took a picture.  I thought it was clever.
They ate and left.  They said it was great.  Good bunch of kids.
Here are their official picture's.  They actually turned out really cute.

The next day Taye was ordained to the office of a Teacher!  Yep, on his 14th birthday.  They are growing up so fast.  It's really weird!  Soon he and Ben will be going to Homecoming!
