This weekend was great! We had the Round-Up, the TunaCan!
Let's start with the Rodeo p-raid. It was great. The biggest surprise of all was the Pine View Middle School Band. It was HUGE! It was by far the biggest band of ALL the schools. It was a complete MIRACLE because all of the kids in the Pine View area had completely given up on playing any instrument because of last years high school band teacher. He was so terrible, not only at his job but towards the kids, that students were dropping out midway through the school year. Middle School and even Intermediate School students (Ben) were not moving on because they didn't want to have him as a teacher when they got in high school. It was so sad. But, luckily for us Mr. Mees is a smart man and saw the problem and fired him. Now the up and coming kids are excited and the band is GROWING! Woo Hoo! Sophie will be so happy!
Here is George, He is doing percussion this year! He was upset that he had to carry the banner for this parade but everyone has to take their turn sometime. He is also on the student government and in the fall musical at Dixie High School under the direction of Mr. Josh Scott. It's going to be a fun year for him! Next was Dustin Mathis pulling the Miss Leeds float with Queen Jess on top. It was cute, they just wore Levi's with red, white and blue t-shirts. The Miss Toquerville royalty wore overalls! They were DARLING! Only in a rodeo parade.
Here are our favorite two littles. Ruby and Henry. Watching the parade.
That night they went to the rodeo and were dancing up a storm. That boy cannot stand still when any music starts playing. It's hilarious.
JoEllen won tickets to the Tuacahn dinner and a show for 4 people at the volunteer dinner party after the Ironman in May so we went and saw Newsies. It was Unbelievable! Brad is mind blowing! The food was pretty good too. There was a ton of it.
