Today we had Josh's farewell. It went perfectly. First one of the girls spoke on girls camp and then George played an amazing medley of Hymns he arranged. Then Ben gave a report on Sophie and talked about the importance of missionary work and how it ties into ministering. Then we had a rest hymn of Called to Serve and then Josh spoke. Ben's talk was 6 1/2 minutes long and Josh's was 13. It couldn't have been better. They both did a fantastic job! I am so proud of them.
Suene brought some of his lava lava's over for Ben and David because he grew out of them. Ben was on cloud 9! David was still a little, little. Suene is only one more appointment away from having his papers in! We are so excited for him. He will make a great missionary. He has been a great example to my boys especially Ben.
Then I ran back to the house while everyone talked and took picture's because I forgot that I assigned myself to make a fluff for lunch. Along with 15 pounds of pulled pork. The luncheon went perfectly. We only had meat leftover, which I put in bags and froze. I'm sure with Ben around it won't last long.
Josh was in charge of dishing up the cake. It was right in front of Henry so he was having a hard time eating until we put a piece in front of him for incentive. He's so dang cute. I taught him a new saying, "Not today Satan!" There was a fly bugging him and trying to get on the cake. So that's what we told the fly. Suene brought some of his lava lava's over for Ben and David because he grew out of them. Ben was on cloud 9! David was still a little, little. Grandma had fun laying in the shade. So did Henry and Sky.
Then we made the boys dress up in their grad cap and gowns because they all graduated on separate days. Which was a huge blessing so we could attended all three. AND they all graduated with high honors. Pine View just uses Silver cords instead of Gold because it's our school color. Smart good looking boys! Good thing they take after their dads.
And then everyone left and drove back up north. We will see them on a week when we take Josh up to the MTC! Here are picture's of the after party. The Wells' kids hung around for a little while. Matty felt like putting a grape up her nose. She thought that if she could plug the other side she could blow it out. It didn't work. But she still ate it.
Later that night after Mission Prep, Josh finally changed out of his suit and laid down on the ground. I think Sky knows what is happening because she immediately started to groom him. She licked his head for about 10 minutes. She's getting pretty old. Hopefully she'll still be around when he gets back.
These are the picture's that Josh has posted lately on his Snap Chat. His totes and turning in his key on his last day of work, which was Thursday because he works in the temple on Fridays.
