Thanksgiving Fun!

We had dinner at Jandy's and she finished her basement and that's where we stayed.  She has 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 with a bed downstairs but two others down there as well. So, 6 bedrooms in all!  Plus a bathroom and kitchen downstairs as well.  It's great!
JoEllen gave grandpa an invitation to his birthday party.  He was thrilled.
 Then we had PIE!
The next morning for White Friday Joel and I met up with 11 of the grandkids at the Provo City Center Temple and did Baptisms for the dead.  We wanted to take a picture but we all parked in the basement and it was so full of people that we were afraid of being late to the Provo Beach because Jan had told us to be there at 10:45am.  So, as soon as kids got done they loaded into a car and left.  But we had a great time at the temple.  Jake was able to do the actually baptizing for the first time ever. George started and baptized Evan and Emily and then Jake baptized him.  Then Jake also baptized Tyler and Ben.  Then Nick baptized Jake, Jenna and David.  Then Joel baptized me and Konnor and Konnor baptized Shayne.  WOW!  13 people.  Everyone did family names except 2.  It was great!  Next year we will go to a different temple and get a picture before we go in.
Then we drove to Provo Beach!  It was AMAZING!  We should go there every year.  It was like where we went up in Ogden except a 1/4 of the price for an all day pass and they had an arcade, ropes course, crochet, laser tag and bowling!  It was so great!  I would have gone on the ropes course but I thought we were all going bowling and I already had my shoes on and a ball picked out when I saw Jan and JoEllen walking on the ropes.  I will have to do it for sure next time!  We had unlimited bowling and no one was there.  We could have bowled all day!  It would have been so much fun.  But time was flying by and the kids also wanted to do laser tag.  I don't think the teenagers bowled at all.  It was crazy!  We would have stayed all day if people weren't getting hungry.  So we went back to Jandy's to eat left overs.
After the kids got done surfing I jumped in the van and ran to Sandy to meet up with Elder Te Hira who had just gotten home from Sophie's mission the day before.  His family was leaving right as I pulled up.  I had just enough time to say him give him a hug and get back into the car to drive to Jandy's to meet everyone for food. It was a tender mercy.
Surfing was, of course, everyone's favorite.

The next morning we woke up to 4 inches of the best packing snow ever!  The first snow of the season!  I was able to make this monster in Jan's back yard.  It was great!  It only took 15 minutes from start to finish.  It was so much fun.
