Narwhals Swim Team

This was Beat the Heat.  The kids dedicated it to Sophie.
Emily tried to draw on people's back like Soph did but it just wasn't the same.  She did Evan's and stopped.
Above is Matty all ready for her relay race.  Below is Shayne, bottle flipping with the kids.  Ben was doing his Clark Kent impersonations.  Still had his stitches in.
The last meet of the year was Championships in Mesquite and we were lucky enough to stay at Konnor's aunt's condo.  Jeff stayed with us and He and Josh were trying to do some sort of balancing act.  They succeeded once.  They about killed themselves 3 times.
The Scott's were there.  The Cluff kids were there and the Soli's were there!  All present and accounted for!  Neighborhood fun up and going!
COOLEST PICTURE EVER!  We love going to Mesquite.  We get the best picture's there.
David is pretty cute when he's happy.  Josh is pretty all grown up!
Coaches!  We will miss Jeff.  He is moving back to Vegas to pursue a career in Law Enforcement.  Sucker!  Just Kidding!  We love you Jeff.  Good Luck!
 David's most awesome Backstroke start.

Ben's Breast stroke with his super cool cap.

 George's Fly

 Josh's Breast stroke.
When you win you get a Gatorade and a Granola Bar!

 Here's Ben's relay that won.
Here's Josh's relay that won...every time, every relay.
This was after another time.   Lots of Gatorade and granola for these three!

The 3 amigo's!  They had a fun summer and kept fit and out of trouble!
David's IM was much better than last year.  He's getting better and faster each year.  If he keeps it up, he'll be my best swimmer yet!  He started 4 years earlier than Shayne did.
Ben for some reason kicks his foot WAAAY up on his starts.  we don't know why but it sure looks weird.  He still gets of the board fast enough but that foot goes so high that one time he almost kicked himself in the head.

 He's a goof ball.

This was Josh's IM. He wanted 1st bad this year.  And, he got it.  He was intense.   You can see it on his face.  Except in this first picture.  You can't see his face at all.  You can't even see his head.
Josh George and Ben.  I'm not sure what they are looking at.  I don't think they know what they are looking at.
We waited around until after the entire meet was over to see which team won.  Shayne didn't want to wait to get her trophy a week later.  She could just take it with her.  As luck would have it, we won by 200 points!!!   GO NARWHALS!!!

Setting Apart and MTC!

I am so incredibly blessed to have my siblings close to me.  Thank you Brad and JoEllen for being here at this special day for Sophie and for us.  I love you both so much!  Stake President Ellsworth went around the room and asked the brothers and Shayne to say something that they like about Sophie.  David said that he likes that he's going to get her room and Ben said that he likes that she brings peace to the family.  When he got to Josh he just started to cry.  It was so sad.  They are so incredibly close.  This is going to be a rough couple months for him.  The sooner he can get out on his mission the better.  He took this picture and put it on his Snapchat.
These picture's were taken later that day when we got to Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner with all the cousins.
This was the next morning before we went to drop Sophie off at the MTC.  They all matched that morning.
We went over to the Temple before hand to get some picture's.  We also had Ashley meet us there.  We thought it would be good for her to feel the spirit and to see Sophie off.  Maybe plant the seed in her heart to go on a mission too.
The first thing we did was recreated the picture we took when we dropped off Shayne 4 years ago.
Sophie tried to keep Josh happy as long as she could.
Then we all hopped in the van and drove across the street.
Josh lost it as soon as we got out of the van.
Sophie never looked back.  It's a good thing.  She's a smart girl.
