Max Hunsaker, Andy's Dad, passed away on Wednesday August 9th, 2017. He was full of cancer and was in the Veterans home in Payson for the last 2 weeks of his life her on earth. It was a blessing to have him pass from this life onto the next to be with Noah and Christine. The funeral was Saturday morning. We had Joel and Kyle drive all of the grandkids to Lagoon instead of come to the funeral. We didn't want them running all around. The rest of us stayed and payed our respects. The funeral was wonderful. Andy said the opening prayer and Adams spoke after Max's other children did. Adam was funny, eloquent and talked about the great man that we all loved and respected. Max was POW in WWII and did our nation a great service. His grandson is currently in the military and helped fold the flag for his family, which is quite an honor.
When he got done he saluted Max. There wasn't a dry eye.
They then folded the flag, passed it down the line, and gave it to Allen, Max's oldest son. I couldn't get a picture of that. It was a beautiful day and I am sure that Max, Christine and Noah were all smiling down at us. They are all happy, healthy, and rejoicing. May we all live righteously to be with them again.
