Cedar City Invite

OK, thiso be a huge picture blog so that Sophie can get the feel of what happened.

This is Cedar City's Invitational.  There were 14 teams there.  It was crazy.  Josh swam the Medley Relay, the 200 IM and the 100 Free.

 Josh led off with the backstroke.  He did it in 32seconds.

 This is a picture of Kinzie Sullivan getting ready to do her race.  She's in Lane 1.  She had to do the 500 and she was not happy.  But she did great.

 This is Josh's IM start. In these next three picture's, you can see Josh pass the DHHS kid next to him.

 Lane 5.  2nd place in his heat. 2:30.77  But the important thing is that he beat the Desert Hills kid next to him!

  High Five's all around.  Very important to be a good sport and to be nice!

 Afterwards, he came upstairs to talk to his coach.  She gave him some great tips. 

 Then Dad's words of encouragement.  You can see Brad Carroll listening in.  And his cute little girl eating her dinner.

 Riley went first.  He did great.  He had a good start.

 Josh was in lane 4.  Miles was right next to him in lane 3.

 Josh had the worst start of his life.  He was basically still standing on the platform then everyone else took off.

 But he still killed it. He would have taken 1st in his heat if his start was better.

 57.42.  Miles took 5 with a 1:00.18.

 We had David with us and he was throwing a HUGE fit so we left and didn't wait around until the very end to watch Josh's 4x100 relay. 

Next time we won't bring David.
