Today started out great! We woke up at the buttcrack of dawn because the boys, Joel, Konnor, Josh and George, were all signed up to run the Freedom Festival 10K in Provo and the rest of us were going to watch the balloons. With their race packets they got a two pack of LuLaRow Leggings! They were 4th of July themed. Josh was the only one brave enough to wear his to run in. JoEllen took one of George's that had fireworks on it and Shayne took one of Konnor's and wore them that day. They were pretty funny. Since Josh was already set apart as a missionary, we took turns being his comapanion. The day before I was his comp while Joel went to work, during the race, George was his comp because Joel couldn't keep up with him. It was fun.
This was Juanelle's niece's dog. He was adorable. He had different colored eye and felt like a stuffed animal.
Afterwards, we went to Jandy's for breakfast. The kids, of course, went downstairs to play dress up in all of Jan's costumes. David had a little too much fun.
Later that night we had a BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa's house and went to the park to play games. A little later we watched the fighter Jets fly over the house about 8 times as they were getting ready to do a flyby for the Stadium of Fire at the BYU Stadium.
I just love these old trees and how twisted they are. They are great for climbing!
Then when it started to get dark when headed out to Saratoga Springs to a park where all of the neighbors had pitched in together to buy one big firework display instead of buying individual small ones. It was AMAZING! But way to close to the ground. it was a good thing that it was near a nice green grass park and houses instead of a dry field. otherwise there would have been fires!
This was our whole group. We were right in the front. Not very smart.
It was a long but very memorable day. I'm so glad that the MTC called and let us go in a day later so Josh could share this one last holiday with everyone.
