PBR @ Tuacahn

Thanks to Brad we were able to go watch the Professional Bull Riders the other night. It was great!  I like going to the rodeo but let's be serious, the only reason we really go is to see the bull riders at the end.  So, to see all bull riding, all the time, was amazing!  There were 36 riders and then after they were done, those who stayed on for the entire 8 seconds went again and winner was the one whose combined score of the two rides was the highest.  It was spectacular.  Ben and David sat down on row D with Jake and his friends.  They were eye level with the arena.  It was awesome.  I took these picture's with my phone.  So they weren't great but, they weren't to bad either.  The most impressive thing about the entire night were the three bull fighters.  They got right in between the cowboy and the bull every time the cowboy fell off.  They did an outstanding job.  It was mind blowing to watching them swoop in and distract the bull.
This one was amazing. The bull fell over, the cowboy stayed on and the bull got up and the cowboy kept riding!  He got his full 8 second count and a score of 79.
This was a picture I took from the replay of the cowboy being thrown off.
All of these next ones are of the bull fighters.

 This bull was crazy.
These bulls were all super crazy and pumped up.  One of them right at the first even jumped out of one of the back pens and took off up the mountain side.  It was nuts!  The clown made a joke that if you need to go to your car then now was not a good time to do so.  From where we were sitting you could see the men on horseback trying to rope it and get it back in it's cage.  The whole time I kept thinking about Ferdinand and Joel and I kidded about them not having brought their calming goat.
This bull was having too much fun being in the spotlight.  He did not want to go in.  He was out there for about 5 minutes.
And this was was just to mad to go in.
After the entire thing was over they had a 6 minute fireworks show that was great until one of the shells came across the stage and hit Ben right in the chest.  I had gone down to sit by him and right after I got there I watched it zip across the stage and thump him right in the sternum.  It was still sparking out the back.  It reminded my of Kung Fu Panda when Po rides the fireworks.  Luckily it had already exploded.  It dropped to the ground and after it stopped sparking I made him pick it up so I could take a picture.   It was pretty big. It was 3 inches long and as big around as a quarter!  All in all it was an exciting night.  Thanks Brad!
