Tuesday 4-24-18 was Senior night at the high school. It was super cool! As you entered into the stadium the first thing you saw were their banners. They were awesome! All of the Sr.'s were recognized with their parents before the game. Josh and Brandon Dial were presented with Academic All-Region Awards for being smarties. That makes him a 2 sport Academic All-Region Athlete. That means he keeps his grades up and keeps them up. Great Job Josh!
Coach Duckworth gave all the boys a game ball and shook their hands. But then afterwards he took the balls back so they could play with them. They will get them at the end of the season. David took picture's of everyone. So enjoy.
Academic All-Region Awards were achieved by Josh and Brandon Dye.
Then it was time to play ball. This game Gonzo decided that he would get more playing time if he was just a player rather than a goalie so he played forward. It was fun.
I can only imagine what these two were saying to each other right at this moment. It makes me smile.
Then one by one they introduced each of them. It was good to hear Josh's name again as a starter.
Alex Rodriguez! Man I just love that kid. Ever since he was 10 years old. He's always been so happy. And his family has always welcomed Josh.
Kelvin Armenta is another kid from our ward that I've know since he was 10. I wish he'd come to church more. Josh has invited both of them to Camp Helaman this summer. I hope they go.
Ryley Duckworth was our Captain this year. Here he is shaking Phil, the ref's, hand. Phil is a friend of ours. He dated Jennifer once upon a time.
Quick prayer and they are off.
Josh and Gonzo both played for more than half of the first half. It was fun. We won that game and only have one more against Hurricane that we have to win in order to go to state playoffs.
We were happy to have our family come out and support Josh. Brad, Ashley and the kids came and so did the Wells family. It's so great to have family around!
